Chex and I managed to reconnect today, after reminding her about the existence of this list. She vanished, for some reason, for the past few months or so, and I can only suspect that she happily dissolved into the white walls of the SDA.

So I rediscovered the list, because I had her rediscover the list in an attempt to foolishly reconnect. To review, here's how it's gone:

1. Niko will try a Krispy Kreme.
2. Niko will try a Klondike.
3. Niko will try Blue Bunny ice cream.
4. Niko will be brought to Embassy, or to any other clubbing destination. He must actually dance there.
5. Niko will be brought shopping for clothes. To make things more enticing, Chex will pay for everything.
6. Niko will be dragged, although not necessarily, to a chick flick.
7. Niko will try a Krispy Kreme with coffee.
8. Niko will go with Chex to the Pixar University in Emeryville, California.

Obviously it hasn't been updated, precisely because Chex disappeared. The only struck-out item happened in August... or so I think.

Today I was out and about, shopping for clothes all by myself, since I am salaried and can (and supposedly can) afford to do so. So that must count, although Chex hasn't paid for anything. I did. That means the list looks like this:

1. Niko will try a Krispy Kreme.
2. Niko will try a Klondike.
3. Niko will try Blue Bunny ice cream.
4. Niko will be brought to Embassy, or to any other clubbing destination. He must actually dance there.

The family then had dinner at the S&R branch in Alabang, where we chowed down on pasta and pizza and ice cream. At P65 per cup, it was well worth it, with all the fresh toppings and thick cream.

And then Chex and I chatted, for the first time in eons.

Henrik Batallones: and ive had two more since then. but no, no coffee yet. havent attempted it.
Henrik Batallones: yeah. and i dont know where the heck ill get the klondike or the blue bunny.
Chex Li: attt SnR!!
Henrik Batallones: shopping for clothes... i did just that today. well two pairs of pants.

Henrik Batallones: oh god.
Chex Li: yessir
Henrik Batallones: one down!
Chex Li: hahaha
Henrik Batallones: i just had that today!
Chex Li: oh my oh my
Chex Li: are u serious?

And then I remembered that, yes, the ice cream cans say Blue Bunny. So the list now looks like this:

The list is changing again.

Sometimes I wonder why Chex and I keep up with this, especially now that she's studying in Manila (after graduating from San Francisco, probably my favorite American city aside from New York)... so the list goes:

But this is expensive, right? Oh, the wildest things. (Besides, I'm not sure if the university is really in Emeryville. But presumably so, since that's where their headquarters are...)

Something happened along the way home today. From Ortigas at least. Yeah, sure, that trip was chock-full of misconstrued memories, frantic phone calls and whatnot, since we auditioned today only to realize that we'll wait for a really long time. But first, the Third Person To-Do List:

Disregard the hard edges. I'm actually sleepy.

But really, we got free Krispy Kremes and were very, very happy about it. We just auditioned and got more than a recording and a necklace! So, consider this done.

There. That probably is settled.

For the first time on any public space, the Third Person To-Do List with Niko and Chex.

Listed below are things that they are supposed to do whenever they meet once the next term starts, when Chex settles in Manila for good, provided that both are free and Niko is allowed to do so.

1. Niko will try a Krispy Kreme.
2. Niko will try a Klondike. (He doesn't actually know what this is.)
3. Niko will try Blue Bunny ice cream. (He doesn't actually know what this is either.)
4. Niko will be brought to Embassy, or to any other clubbing destination. He must actually dance there.
5. Niko will be brought shopping for clothes. To make things more enticing, Chex will pay for everything. (This could be the makeover Lizette thinks Niko should have.)
6. Niko will be dragged, although not necessarily, to a chick flick.

Whether all these tasks will be accomplished depends on the availability of both parties. Additions to this list will be made public on the basis of convenience or memory.
